Comstock worm (PseudococcuscomstociKuw) can infect more than 300 species of cultivated
and wild plants. It damages all parts of the plant (fruit, even the root). The worms usually feed
along the veins on the back of the leaf. Due to the damage of the worm, the leaves of the plant
turn yellow and dry, the twigs become crooked, swells and cracks form on the trunk, roots and
branches. Such a tree is weakened and more quickly damaged by secondary (bark) pests.
Fruit quality deteriorates and tree yield decreases by 30-35%. Comstock worms also cause
