Career plan

My immediate plans upon returning home is to become a minister of education and to change the educational system in my country. Primarily, I searched about various effective educational systems of different countries. I preferred Poland’s strategy where schooling begins at an early age, America’s educational system which is based on using developing games in kindergartens. In India and Japan, children are inspired to be creative, to make project works at an early age, demonstrating their talents independently in front of the audience. Unfortunately, in my country education is based on forcing children to learn what is not interesting to them.

Firstly, I would like to use in practice Poland’s strategy, beginning education in kindergarten for one-year-old children, directing the most skilled personnel to these institutions, as it is the basis of child’s development, which is mostly ignored in my country. Secondly, I would completely change the secondary educational system, by eliminating the free of charge education. Besides that, children will be taught according to their interests. They learn making public speeches, making presentations, project work at 1^st grade. Furthermore, I would boost extra-curriculum activities which is faulty nowadays.

The quality of education is poor in rural areas which needs more support. I would organize more facilities, rewards, perks for skilled teachers willing to work in these areas. I am planning to improve the condition of rural places by attracting foreign investors, volunteer teachers and building the branches of foreign universities in these areas.

Higher Educational system also is not satisfactorily working currently. Majority of students complain about unnecessary subjects they are being taught . To begin, I would eliminate these subjects from their curriculum and focus mostly on practical part of their majors. I would make it possible to choose classes for attendance like in prestigious foreign universities.

Poor quality of education in, to some extent, relates to low salary of teachers, which is my next point to make improvements. After selecting best candidates to go on working as teachers via testing, interviews, I would raise their salaries to make them work diligently.

After improving the level of education in my country I turn to my long term goals. When I was in Summer camp of students, a group of volunteer teachers visited there, which was British Council team. They organized classes so skillfully that I got interested in teaching voluntarily all around the world, teaching poor layer of the population , making them literate and become a real human. I want to work in the parts of Asia, Australia, Africa where education is inaccessible. Besides that, I can learn different cultures, traditions via teaching language in these areas. I want to widen my horizon by meeting different people, do some good so that people can remember me after my death with respect and honor. I want o live fully, sharing my joy, happiness and by this way to feel the real happiness.
