	Violence is behaviour that is abusive, threatening, or hurtful, by way of physical, emotional, verbal, sexual, spiritual, or regulatory (restrictions, rules, laws) means. Media images and messages containing such content are violent.
	Means of communication aimed at a very large audience. Examples include mass-market paperback books , television, movies, newspapers, Internet.
	The plural of medium. Means of communication, including audio, visual, audio-visual, print, and electronic means.
	An informed and critical understanding of the nature of the media, the techniques used by them, and the impact of these techniques. Also includes the ability to understand, use and create mass media in an active and critical way.
