The energy industry is one of the main links in the national economy, which is an important factor in the placement of industrial production. It determines the specialization of economic regions in many ways.
The energy industry is an interconnected and interconnected set of industries for the extraction and consumption of fuel raw materials, electricity generation and distribution. Thus, the fuel and energy complex is a set of interconnected sectors of the fuel and power industry.

The raw materials of the energy industry are fuel (oil, gas, coal, peat, flammable shale, wood, uranium) and hydro resources (river and sea currents, rising energy). At present, due to the development of non-traditional methods of obtaining energy, solar energy, wind power, and the internal heat of the earth are also considered as energy raw materials.
Fuel resources are the main source of energy production for all sectors of the economy. But with the development of science and technology, the importance of this or that energy source in the national economy changes.
They are converted into conditional fuels in order to mix different types of fuel with each other .
Conditional fuel is a fuel that gives 7,000 kcal (29 MJ / kg) of energy when 1 kg of fuel burns, assuming a heat coefficient of one.
To convert the fuel to a conditional fuel, the fuel data is multiplied by the appropriate heat transfer coefficient. In the calculations, 1 kg of conventional fuel is equivalent to an average of 2 kW / h of electricity accepted, but taking into account the efficiency of power plants.
Hence, it can be seen from the table that the heat of 1 kg of coal is equal to the heat of 1 kg of conventional fuel. Low heat fuels are peat, shale, lignite and wood. Therefore, there is no economic benefit in transporting them over long distances. They are considered local fuel. Brown coal is also used in the mining area and in the adjacent areas due to its low heat transfer coefficient. For example, in Uzbekistan, Angren GRES has been built near the Angren lignite deposit, and Yangi Angren GRES in the town of Nurabad. In these GRES, coal is burned and the electricity generated is sent to consumers because transporting coal over long distances is not economically viable due to the high ash content.
The value of fuel resources depends not only on their calories, but also on their usability and extraction costs. The most economical fuel raw materials are oil and gas, as it is cheaper to extract them and send them to the consumer through pipes.
