INTRODUCTION
The topic of this work is the formation of writing skills in younger students in English lessons.
The relevance of the issue under consideration is as follows.
The process of writing differs from the process of oral speech in its origin and development; by psychological content; on the psychological operations included in it. Not a single child is aware of the ways in which his speech is carried out; the rules for constructing oral speech become the subject of awareness only at school. Writing from the very beginning is a conscious act, arbitrarily built in the process of special conscious learning.
The formation of literate writing skills in English lessons is crucial in further language learning, as well as in acquiring the knowledge and skills that will allow the child to reveal himself as a person and become a full-fledged member of society.
The object of the research is the problem of the formation of writing skills in a non-native (English) language in younger schoolchildren.
The subject of this study is the process of teaching writing in English classes in elementary grades on the examples of various educational and methodological complexes.
The main purpose of this work is to consider the methodology for teaching writing to younger students in English lessons. To achieve this goal, the following tasks are solved:
the study of writing as an independent type of speech activity and as a means of developing skills and abilities;
analysis of the process of writing writing as a type of speech activity;
analysis of the graphic system of the English language and the principles of English spelling in synchrony and diachrony and comparison of this system with Russian graphics;
analysis of a set of exercises for teaching writing in primary grades.
The theoretical significance of this work lies in the fact that its results can contribute to further improvement of the methods of teaching elementary school students to write in English lessons, as well as solving many problems associated with teaching children a foreign language.
The practical value of this work lies in the fact that these methodological recommendations and many tasks and exercises can be applied by foreign language teachers in elementary school.
