For and against doing sport
Sport has always been a method to be healthy, fit and other benefits to human health. But not everything in sports is an advantage, since an excess or abuse can be detrimental to be healthy and so is taking substances that help you stand but both are detrimental to long for your body.
It is known that sport is good for the body because it has many advantages such as physical benefit because it makes you burn calories and makes you increase your muscle mass to have a good body, besides it also prevents diseases (cardiobascular, breathing ...) and it also has psychological benefits by reducing stress, you produce well-etc.
Moreover, although it is very beneficial to do exercise regularly, abuse has its downside because it wears you out and as a result you may suffer injuries or cardiovascular disease.
There is also the case of athletes or individuals who very often take substances that are prohibited which will eventually hurt them with illnesses and can even cause death when they abuse these substances.
In conclusion, sports are good for health and fitness but they are also bad in case of abuse or taking substances to have more stamina and be better than others.
Sport plays a great role in our life. It’s a profession, an entertainment and a way which leads to a healthy life. We’ve been connected with sport since our childhood, though we don’t even notice this fact.
Lots of people consider sport to be the funniest way to spend free time. Some of them watch sport matches on TV, supporting their favorite team. Some of them go to the country to play sport outdoor games. It’s useful for health and besides it’s a good cause for people to get together and to make friends.
People who choose sport as a profession make a serious choice, because it takes much time, almost all their time to succeed in a chosen kind of sport. Sportsmen must improve their constitution every day. To become a great sportsman one must work hard. And it’s not only a physical work, it’s also a moral work. Because every competition is a challenge not only to your strengths but to your nerves. Professional sport is a dangerous thing, because any training or competition may bring traumas. So every sportsman runs risks. But every risk is suppressed by the burning desire to win. And victories bring satisfaction, fame and often good sums of money.
Sport can be absolutely useful if you want to improve your health by means of it. All you have to do is not to overdo it and it won’t do harm to you, quite the contrary you’ll feel much better, stronger and more cheerful.
No matter what pluses and minuses sport has, it’s wonderful because it unites people of all the nationalities and religions without any magic.
Adventure sport
Adventure Sports are different from traditional sports. Sports or Traditional Sports refer to athletic activities requiring skills and physical prowess. These sports are usually competitive in nature. They include racing, football, wrestling, tennis, hockey, etc. Adventure sports involve activities which are unusual, risky and exciting as well. An adventure sport is a bold undertaking which involve hazardous (dangerous) action and whose outcome is uncertain. Adventure sports comprise of a very wide range of activities.
Mountaineering, rock climbing, trekking, skiing, river rafting, kayaking, canoeing, sailing, scuba diving etc. are some popular adventure sports. Adventure sports are undertaken at various places depending on the nature. of the topography and weather conditions. Most of the adventure sports are undertaken in hilly and mountain areas. On snow covered mountains, it is possible to carry out activities like skiing and sledging. Hang gliding is a very popular adventure sport. In this sport, one pilots a flexible wing aircraft by shifting one's weight on to it. Paragliding is another adventure sport. Its sites are located in Lahaul and Spiti, Solan and Billing in Himachal Pradesh. Hot air ballooning is fast becoming a popular adventure sport in India. In this sport one rises to high altitudes and sails across the sky in a basket hanging from a giant nylon balloon which is filled with hot air. Rock climbing is carried out in the western Ghats and Aravalli hills near Delhi. Some water sports like kayaking, sailing, surfing, yatching are practised off the coast of Gujarat, Goa and Kerala. Bird watching, camping and wildlife safaris attract a number of tourists from abroad. With liberalisation adventure sports are becoming popular. Not many Indians are drawn to adventure sports.

Water Sports
Water sports: they're fun to watch, exciting to participate in, and they've been enjoyed for ages! We've been trying to dominate water since the time we stood up as humanoids. We try to take air beneath the surface, we build crafts to skim across the surface, and we use the power of its resistance to build strength in our bodies.
Water sets the stage for some of the most unique, and yet some of the most common events in the world. Covering 75% of our Earth's surface, and making up over 90% of our bodies, it doesn't make you wonder why water has played such a huge role in our personal and professional lives. Let's dive in!
Swimming is the most popular of the water sports because it is easily accessible and inexpensive. In several of the earliest stories of classical literature, it's portrayed as a symbol of heroism and religion. The first known documentation of the various swimming methods is Nicolas Wynman's Dialogue Concerning the Art of Swimming, originally published in 1538. (Historians are still trying to figure out who he was having that dialogue with.) With the development of swimming pools as we know them today, it became easier and safer for average people all over the world to learn to swim and master it. Swimming was made an Olympic event for the first time in 1896. The most publicized swimming events are the insanely ambitious attempts at swimming across the English Channel. It is a feat that requires strength, endurance - for both the distance and the notoriously frigid waters - and a lot of determination and courage.
The first man ever to swim across the English Channel was Matthew Webb of England who did so in 1875. In 1926, Gertrude Ederle from the United States became the first woman to cross the channel. From speed, to endurance, to form - the different styles of swimming are continuously evolving.
strength and agility sport
Agility is the ability to move and change direction and position of the body quickly and effectively while under control. It requires quick reflexes, coordination, balance, speed, and correct response to the changing situation.
To be agile, you are responding to what is going on around you, taking in that information and translating it into body positioning that will maintain balance and control. You are moving to the best position to take the next action, such as catching a ball or making a tackle. You are moving in a way that your body and sports equipment are in the right position to take the next action effectively.1
Agility as a Key Component of Sports and Physical Activities
Agility is one of the key components of fitness and is valuable in many sports and physical activities. Think of the sports where you have to use agility. In team sports such as football, soccer, basketball, hockey, volleyball and rugby you must quickly respond to movements of the other players and of the ball.
In tennis, handball, squash, table tennis and similar individual sports, you have to quickly respond to the position of the ball. In surfing, skiing and snowboarding you must be agile to respond to the changing conditions of the surface of the water and snow.
Agility Tests
Shuttle runs are often done as an agility test as well as a drill to build sports agility.2 Markers are set up and you sprint from one marker to the other, do a quick turn and sprint back. The U.S. Military Academy uses a shuttle run test. The National Football League uses a 5-10-5 shuttle run as an agility test and drill.
The Illinois Agility Run Test is often used by schools and law enforcement as a test of agility. It uses a running course and involves not only a shuttle run, but also weaving between four cones. Because it has been used for many years, there are norms and a grading system that can be applied.3
The SPARQ rating combines testing for speed, power, agility, reaction and quickness. It is sport-specific as well as a test for general athleticism. The general assessment tests include the agility shuttle 5-10-5 to measure agility. For sport-specific agility, they use a lane agility drill for basketball, a shuttle cross pick-up for hockey, and the arrowhead drill for soccer. The SPARQ rating is used by many sports training companies and certified SPARQ trainers.4
Agility Drills for Athletes
A variety of agility drills can be used in different sports to develop speed and coordination.
• Lateral plyometric jumps: Jumps made to the side
• Tuck jumps: Jumping straight up from a squat position, remaining tucked at the top of the jump before extending your legs to land.
• Shuttle runs: Sprinting from marker to marker with frequent changes in direction
• Forward-backward sprints: Sprint forward to a cone, then jog backward to the start.
• Speed Ladder Agility Drills: These use a piece of equipment that looks like a ladder, and drills can be done running forward with high knees to improve foot speed for field sports, or running laterally to improve agility for court sports.
• Dot Drills: These use an X-shaped pattern to jump from dot to dot with both feet at the same time. It is used for field and racket sports as well as skiing and basketball.
extreme sport
Extreme sports are nontraditional sports and activities that require participants to combine athletic skill with pronounced risk.
An extreme sport is a popular term for certain activities which have a high level of danger. These activities often involve speed, height, a high level of physical training. We can call many kinds of sports extreme ones. Extreme sports are rarely sanctioned by schools.
Usually athletes don't have a coach or may hire him later. People in extreme sports complete not only against each other, but also against weather and difficulties and conditions of exact kind of extreme sport.
There are many extreme sports that take place in air, land, and water. For example there are some of them: ski jumping, sky diving ,sky surfing, sky flying, indoor climbing, BMX (bicycle motocross), mountain biking, mountain boarding, skateboarding, snowboarding, powerboat racing, surfing, whitewater kayaking, windsurfing. All these sports need to have special equipment and glasses.
For surfing we need a surfboard and swimming kits. For snowboarding we need a snowboard and special boots to fix them on the board and a suit and also sunglasses that help to look at the snow and a helmet. For BMX sport you need a special not high bike with small wheels. Sportsmen can dress fashionably, usually in shorts and a T-shirt,trainers, if they want they wear a cap.
We can be sure that many new extreme sports will appear soon. Every year more and more people are interested in extreme sports and take active part in them. I'm sure that soon extreme sports will be on a high level
Extreme sports are just one way of adrenaline rush after which we are feeling scared but relaxed. A lot of young people want to try new things, so many of them are after extreme sports that are giving that kind of pleasure.
They started in early 90’s where mostly young men are doing some extreme sports as:
• mountain climbing,
• paragliding,
• ski jumping,
• ice diving and etc.
Mostly, people are doing adrenaline sports because they want to be accepted by friends and family as hard and strong guys.
List of the extreme sports are long and they are increasing day by day, some are more fun, some are more dangerous, but you need to be careful whatever sport you choose.
It is very easy to broke a leg, hand or get to the hospital by the blink of the eye if you are not careful.
But there’s a catch.
When you try or feel that adrenaline rush once, you would love to try it one more time and after that one more and still on. Before you realize, you will get addicted to adrenaline so hard, you won’t get things real, that is when damage is getting its piece of YOU.
Probably no one would love to feel truly life-threatening situation, that knows the best people that feel that on their skin. A lot of people loves to be in afraid situations (probably the most of us), but there are also a people that don’t like that.
Cache is in the dopamine, that is the main hormone for adrenaline that affects our brain. There is a strong evidence about this, it’s not a personal choice, it is brain chemistry.
Which some people drive to do anything, it doesn’t matter how dangerous is, while some people feel the danger and stop.
Someone would say that people who love extreme sports are lunatics, but I think that are just people who love to enjoy their life with all their heart.
To really enjoy a scary situation, we have to know we’re in a safe environment
When we know (or think) that we are safe in a scary situation, it is easier to accept some challenge. People meet with the dangerous and scary situation in early age and for a problem that can have traumatization for a life.
Here’s the deal:
Parents should keep their children safe and away from anything extreme, if kid really wants to try some adrenaline pump, it should start slowly, it isn’t easy to set foot in any extreme sport, but firstly parents always give kids roller skates with full safety equipment, even if they fall they will remain safe.
The chemicals that are released during fight or flight can work really strong on our body, same as “memory glue” where our body is frightened when it experience the same situation as a little.
Have you ever ride on a roller coaster? You probably do at least on the smaller ones and you probably know the feeling from the first ride where everyone is screaming with their hands up or stick by the bar. The first time is every time the most frightening for the human body, later our body goes use to it and we can do the same thing with more self-confidence.
Why Are Some People Adrenaline Junkies?
Some people really like to live on the edge, amount of them are raising constantly. There is a medical explanation for that.
Researchers got into the experiment to see how our brain is working in new environments.
The main thing was pictures where every picture has a different chance of winning prize money. When participants choose one, they get another group of pictures from which they will choose a new one.
Some pictures were previous images and some were new, so, participants could pick a new one with an unknown payoff or play on “safe” and choose old one where they know the value of the payoff.
Researchers looked at brain scan pictures that were taken during this experiment and they come up to the conclusion where one part of the brain known as “reward center” which is releases chemicals as dopamine, that makes us feel good for trying new things.
Is that logical?
It is the logical thing because in the life big pay-offs and rewards for work are getting people that risk money, life, health.
Of course, from the other side, there is the dark side of this and if we are risking with something we can lose everything and it could go horribly wrong.
Conclusion
Even if you want or not want to choose some adrenaline extreme sports, you first need to think carefully about that. It is very good for most people when they get their blood pump faster through their veins, but also, deadly. If you have a bad health, you could end up with the heart attack or something similar. Before choosing some great sport from a list of the extreme sports, remember to go to the doctor and see if your body can handle that amount of stress.
