Most companies or organizations have a code of ethics that employees have to follow. Here are examples of code of ethics for different organizations: https://blog.ongig.com/human-resources/business-code-of-ethics/

But how about you? Do you have a code of ethics that you follow? We know, at least we think that we know what’s right and wrong and we behave accordingly but don’t have anything written down. So when you have to make a tough decision, you just end up going with your “gut”. One way would help you is to look at that situation through the 7 lenses we learned in class. Something that would help you in another way is to have your own professional code of ethics – Code of ethics that you could use as a professional, in the workplace for yourself. For your final project in this class, you are going to write your own Professional Code of Ethics that you can use at work - for yourself. Your code of ethics should be more than 500 words and should include the following:

1. 
   A summary of your code of ethics. https://www.apple.com/compliance/ Look at the example of Apple. You want to create one for yourself that’s easy to remember. An overall code of ethics.
   
2. 
   Think of 5 categories of traits that you think are important and elaborate on it.

   Then for each of the five category, come up with sample cases and how you will act in those situations. So you will create a scenario for each, where you are tempted to make unethical decision and talk about how you will make a good ethical decision instead.
   

If you ever go for a job interview, a lot of questions that employers ask has to do with your ethical actions. By you having this code of ethics, this should help answering those questions and you can also share with them about your ethical standards which will be impressive. I don’t want you to think this is just another useless For-grade project. Good luck!
