FEATURE OF DIFFERENT STAGES OF INDEPENDENT EDUCATION.

Social/cultural difference of Uzbek high schools.
I know what American high schools are like and can tell you that they do differ from Uzbek ones.
We do not have lockers.
There is usually no food (like actual meals) provided in high schools and schools in general (except maybe some fancy ones).
Teacher is always right and no questioning that. I know this rule works in many Asian countries and sometimes in West too, but boy, do not go against your teacher or director as they never admit their mistakes.
Lack of sports culture. I would say that it is non-existent. I mean there are PE classes, but they are forced, equipment and place is not really good/sponsored by government and so, students do not really want to participate.
Uniform and attendance are more important than your studying for school administration.
The curriculum sucks. The way it is based is not logical. There are many unneccessary subjects and books are out-dates even though they republish them every few years. English books are horrifying, I won’t even talk about that.
Now, keep in mind that I am talking about public high schools, not fancier options, where you can find much better equipment, books are bought through good bookshops and all, but this is the reality of average public high school.
11-year education in Uzbekistan is free (some small fees are there, for miscallenous costs).
The term “globalization ” has been used for many years, and now it is turning into the reality more then ever before. Integration of “Islamic Law” into the “English Common Law” or spread of “Coca-Cola” all over the world can be perfect example for it. Moreover, it has become significant opportunity for companies which are developing and integrating into the markets of different countries. Of course, main reason for globalization it brings a lot of benefits for “global business ”. “The idea of globalization represents an evolutionary and integrative system that pulls people and societies together into a common market of not only goods and services but also knowledge” (Issues in Informing Science and Information Technology, Volume 4, 2007). However, there are a lot of challenges as well. Major challenge for that is that people are different according to their culture. So, this report provides critical analyses of cultural environment and ethical issues of Uzbekistan in terms of developing business or doing business with this country. In order to do these it is important determine the alternative cultural environment which will be analyzed in comparison to Uzbek. After that it will be supported by relevant examples from real life, and will be concluded with proper comments and suggestions. Why culture is important?
Before answering this question it is important define and narrow down the meaning of the word culture. Of course, being one of the most difficult words of English language (Williams, 1983:87), it has more than one meanings and definitions . In this case the meaning of the term “culture” is based on such areas as sociology, anthropology and management, because it defines and narrows the meaning of this word as much as we need.
"By culture we mean all those historically created designs for living, explicit and implicit, rational, irrational, and nonrational, which exist at any given time as potential guides for the behavior of men."
Kluckhohn, C., & Kelly, W.H. (1945). The concept of culture. In R. Linton (Ed.). The Science of Man in the World Culture. New York. (pp. 78-105).
"Culture is the shared knowledge and schemes created by a set of people for perceiving, interpreting, expressing, and responding to the social realities around them" (p. 9).

Lederach, J.P. (1995). Preparing for peace: Conflict transformation across cultures. Syracuse, NY: Syracuse University Press.

Accordingly, people depending on their origin, history and development can have different culture. Moreover, the culture can be analyzed from the point of different levels (Hofstede 1994): National level - Country

Regional and/or ethnic and/or religions and linguistic level Gender level
Generational level
Social class level
Organisational level
Functional level
Each of them determines their shared beliefs and assumptions, values and standards of behaviour. Consequently, it will result in society’s greeting rituals, dress code, forms of address, architecture, design and other different things. So, why culture is important know? To avoid improper behaviour in business environment.
