FAQ ON ROYALTY SETTLEMENT
Where can I find my login information to access my personal account?
Your username and password have been sent out in a separate email after you have registered
on our online portal. You will certainly find them in your inbox.
I do not have the login data to access my personal account - what can I do?
Please request a new password using the option “forgot your password” on our homepage.
I have requested a new password from the “lost password / forgot your password” but
I have not received it.
Please check if the email containing your login information has landed in your spam/junk folder
and if applicable, please check whether the email address you mentioned in your account upon
registration is still valid.
How can I change my data?
Please login to your online account and click on “My data”.
Will the amount indicated in my statement be automatically transferred to my bank
account?
The amount is automatically transferred to the bank account respectively PayPal account
indicated in your online account which you confirmed if the monthly average of your royalties is
reaching the minimum amount of 50.00 euros.
Where can I find my royalty statement?
This information will be available for you in your online account under “Royalty Payments”.
What do you mean by royalty settlement period?
Your royalty statement only applies to the sales of the period specified in your statement. Sales
after this period will be considered in your next statements.
How do you calculate the royalty payments?
Your payments are calculated based on the number of books sold in the specified period.
For each printed copy sold and paid for, the Publisher agrees to pay the Author a royalty
commission based on the Publisher’s revenue minus the contained value-added tax (equals the
net selling price minus a 30% calculatory booktrade discount for copies sold via one of our

I have not received any payments, how is this possible?
According to our terms and conditions you will receive a voucher (redeemable in one of our
online bookshops) if the monthly average of your royalty is between 0.01 and 50.00 euros. If the
monthly average of your royalty is exceeding 50.00 euros, the royalty amount will be transferred
to your bank account. For any further questions on royalty payment calculation, please refer to
our terms and conditions.
I myself bought a few copies of my book and you have sent a few for review. Why do
these copies not appear in my royalty statement?
Copies of the book meant for the legal deposit, advertising, review as well as copies ordered by
you are not taken into consideration because they are either free or released by the publisher at
a discounted rate.
My bank information has changed, can I change it in my account?
Of course, please update your bank information respectively PayPal account during the next two
weeks.
I have a bank account outside Germany, which bank details should I provide?
Please enter your IBAN (International Bank Account Number, only necessary for wire transfers in
Europe), BIC (Bank Identifier Code) respectively SWIFT (Society for Worldwide Interbank
Financial Telecommunication) in the appropriate fields under “my data” in your online account. If
you don't have these information in hand, you should ask your bank to provide you with this
information. They should be able to help you.
Can I be paid by check?
Unfortunately payment by check is not possible.
For all other questions, please contact your editor. Please note that due to the huge amount of
