1.Introduction
(20 minutes)
Warm- up

Warm up.(5 min) Teacher gives words
retail, creative, service, technical
manufacturing,business,office
Then asks to look at the photos and predict the theme.

  1. - Teacher asks students to answer for the questions:

  • Where are most of the people in the picture?

  • Which of the jobs are skilled and creative?

  • Which of the jobs are important in our country?

  • What is essential to find a job?




Students look at the pictures and match them with the words
Students try to answer the questions and predict the theme.
Students will discuss all the questions and give their own opinion.

2.Main part
(50 minutes)



Activity 1. Pre-listening. Presentation of the theme. (10 min)
Teacher presents the PPT slides and explains the new topic, asks students to match words with their definition.
Activity 2. While-Listening activity.
Completing the notes (5 min)
Teacher presents the handout №3, explains that they are going to listen two people talk about traditional and modern workplace while listening teacher asks students to cirle the correct answers, and plays the recording.
Activity 3. Post Listening activity.
Teacher presents the handouts №4 and asks them to write the ideas in the correct group.


Activity 4. Analyzing the video.Teacher plays the video and ask students to analyze it and to give opinion on it.



Students introduce the PPT and get additional information on the theme. Students work individually and give their own examples.


Students do the task.
Students listen to the recorder cirle the correct answers in their handouts. Students give additional detailed information from recording.

Students write the ideas in the correct group.

(10 minutes)

Teacher asks students to give a summary of today’s lesson.

Teacher asks each student for the summary of today’s lesson.
