Task 1. Write information on the topic: E-shopping..
Online shopping is a form of electronic commerce which allows consumers to directly buy goods or services from a seller over the Internet using a web browser or a mobile app. Consumers find a product of interest by visiting the website of the retailer directly or by searching among alternative vendors using a shopping search engine, which displays the same product's availability and pricing at different e-retailers. As of 2020, customers can shop online using a range of different computers and devices, including desktop computers, laptops, tablet computers and smartphones.
Do you prefer E-shopping?Why?
Yes,Certainly.Online shopping seems like the best option during the times of the pandemic. In general, I often rely more on online shopping over in-store shopping to avoid the frustration of going from one store to the other. Plus, whatever they order will be delivered to their doorstep.
Say about advantages and disadvantages of online shopping?
Online shopping has become extremely popular over the past decade.
In our nowadays society, we order large numbers of goods from online shops instead of buying them in a physical store.Although there are many advantages to online shops, there are also many issues related to shopping online.
One problem with online shopping is that it is not possible without a working internet connection.
I admit, almost everyone of us has a working internet connection in our nowadays society in theory.
However, if you are commuting in public transport or in several other public places, chances are that your internet connection might be quite poor and online shopping may not be possible due to that.
Task 2. Describe a time when you started using a new technological device (e.g. a new computer or phone).
You should say:
what device you started using
why you started using this device
how easy or difficult it was to use
and explain how helpful this device was to you.
A few months ago, my regular old mobile phone decided to stop working on me. Now, being a bit “economical” person, I wasn’t really very eager to let go of my old phone. So, I decided to fix it. But, unfortunately, it wouldn’t really get fixed completely no matter how hard I tried to do so. In the end, I was left with no other choice except to buy a new phone. This time, I decided to buy a smartphone. I guess I wanted to be little “smart”, after all, with a smartphone in my hand!
In the beginning, it was a bit difficult for me to put my device to the best use as it was some sort of new experience for me having to deal with “touch screen” always instead of pushing “button” at ease. Carrying the new phone also posed a new problem for me at the start as it was bigger in size, and I wasn’t really prepared to look “awkward” in public in a “full pocket” with my smartphone hidden inside it. Anyway, I got used to my new device as time progressed and started to like it since it offered many cool options and features.
So, why exactly this thing called ‘smartphone’ is so useful to us? Well, the answer is this smart device has combined 4 different kinds of technologies (TV, computer, camera and phone) into one to offer us the best technological experiences on the move. Now, how one wants to use this smart device is entirely up to him/her. Anyway, as for me, I just love this phone as I can call my friends and families from another city (I live in a different city far away from my family) while viewing them on the phone at the same time with the help of a thing called “ the internet”. The best thing about this phone is that I can use it now at ease even though I am not exactly a very technologically-savvy person. I also use my phone to help my father’s business (my father owns a clothing store) by taking and showing the pictures of different clothing items to him so that he can decide on which product to buy, and which not to. Needless to say, this practice reduces the time and cost of doing business to a great deal.
Finally, if I don’t talk about how it helps me in taking care of my assignments on the move while remaining stuck for hours in city traffics, I wouldn’t really do justice on my smart tool. In fact, the truth is I wouldn’t really be able to finish many of my assignments in time in the last few months without my smartphone due to my busy schedule. I regret the fact that I didn’t buy a smartphone even earlier.
