During preparation, the ALT and JTE should work together to devise lists of descriptive clues 
using vocabulary and characters that the JTE is sure that the students will be familiar with. The 
actual activity may be conducted by the ALT and the JTE together, but ideally the ALT (as the 
native English speaker) should be reading the clues to the students.

Activity Objective: 
To practice listening comprehension for the "can" and "can't" grammar point. 
Procedure: 
Students listen to a series of "can" and "can't" sentences (3 per animal), marking each in the chart 
with a "O" or "X." After the listening portion, students use the clues to match each description to 
an animal.
