Course Title: Introduction to Data Analytics (001)

Dataset:

Use the COVID-19 dataset (see the additional excel file), where you can see three columns with the titles: Date and Number of active cases and Daily Death. The data were related to Bangladesh and it was recorded weekly from February 15 to October 15.

Question 1: Calculate the following parameters (10 points):

1. 
   Standard Deviation, Skewness, Kurtosis (of total active cases and Daily Deaths for the given duration) (3 points)
   
2. 
   Correlation, regressions (of total active cases and Daily Deaths for the given duration) (3 points)
   
3. 
   Briefly analyze the dataset using the above statistical parameters (standard deviation, skewness, kurtosis, correlation, and regression) (4 points)
   

Question 2: a) Forecast for at least 3 weeks with both models (Exponential Smoothing and Auto Regression) (5 points)

Hints: For auto regression, consider up to 3^rd order and consider the lowest P-value for selecting the order for forecasting.

b) Estimate the Mean Absolute Deviation (MAD) for the both forecasting models (Exponential Smoothing and Auto Regression) and explain which model shows better performance for your dataset considering the MAD. (5 points)
