For experimental confirmation of this assumption, laboratory tests of the roasting of
sulfide zinc concentrate with the introduction of additional additives into the charge were carried
out.
CONCLUSION.
The studies have established that introducing such compounds as CaO,
Na
2
O, K
2
O, CaCO
3
into the roasting charge due to the formation of solid thermodynamic
compounds with iron and silica oxides leads to a decrease in the shape of ferrites and zinc
silicates. Based on the obtained experimental data, a possible mechanism of reactions of the
interaction of the charged components was proposed.
The thermodynamic substantiation of the reactions of the interaction of the charge
components according to the proposed mechanism has been carried out. The optimal firing
temperature was chosen, and the amount of additional CaCO
3
added to the firing charge was
determined.
