Online Problems Quizzes
: There will be five (5) problem sets based on material from the 
Operations Management text and the weekly lessons, and worth a combined 
30%
of the course 
grade. Use of the Excel files from the course is permitted and encouraged. Once problem sets 
are solved, answers are to be entered into the problems quizzes for grading. Each quiz must be 
completed by the due date to receive (but they may be completed early).

Final Exam
: This live, open-book, open-notes exam covers THE GOAL as well as the class 
activities, discussions, videos and TQM. The exam is worth 
30%
of the course grade. There may 
be a team-based option offered by the instructor. 
•
GOAL Assignment:
There is short paper due at the end of the course in which you 
respond to 3 questions pertaining to THE GOAL. The assignment is worth 
10%
of the 
course grade.
Please note: This is a professional course. Spelling and grammar are 
important in the workplace so points will be deducted for errors. Failure to follow 
directions completely will also result in a loss of points. 
FINAL GRADE:
The course grade will be based on total number of points each student receives.
Letter grades will be assigned as follows
