What are you afraid of? 

SPEAKER 1: I’m afraid of snakes and spiders. I have this one nightmare: I’m in a room and 

there are hundreds of snakes and thousands of spiders everywhere. It’s awful! 

SPEAKER 2: I hate small spaces. When I was little, my big brother locked me in a closet for 

two hours. My mum was really mad at him, but it didn’t help me! 

SPEAKER 3: I’m terrified of crocodiles but I’ve never seen a real one! I hope it stays that 

way. 

SPEAKER 4: I’m afraid of flying – I always close my eyes when we take off and I listen to 

music during the whole flight. I can’t talk to anybody! 

SPEAKER 5: I don’t have any big fears but my dad’s terrified – of me!! 

SPEAKER 6: I’m not afraid of anything!
