A  traveller  is  a  person  moving  between  different geographical  locations 
for any purpose and for any period. 
A trip means the journey of a person from the moment of departure from 
the place of his / her permanent residence until the moment of return: hence, it is 
a question of a trip there and back. The trip consists of visits to various places. 
A  visitor  is  a  person  who  travels  on  certain  conditions,  namely  for 
purposes of vacation, leisure and recreation, for treatment, study, business or for 
other purposes. 
The visitor (internal, inbound or outbound) is classified as a tourist (or a 
night visitor) if his / her trip involves spending the night, or as a one-day visitor 
(or excursionist) - in other cases. 
Tourist  flow  is  the  constant  arrival  of  tourists  to  a  country  or  a  given 
region. The indicators characterizing the volume of the tourist flow include the 
total number of tourists, including organized and amateur; Number of tour days 
(number  of  overnight  stays,  bed-days);  Average  duration  (average  time)  of 
tourists' stay in the country, region (in one place or village). 
Since every foreign tourist is in a different country for a certain time, the 
volume of foreign tourism as a whole depends on the average length of stay of 
foreign  tourists  in  the  country.  In  this  regard,  inside  and  international  tourism, 
along  with  the  total  number  of  tourists  an  important  natural  indicator  is  the 
number of days spent by tourists in the country - tourist days. In the practice of 
most countries, this indicator is called the "number of overnight stays."
