PEM Mobile Responsibility: Central Government, Ministry of Health (Shared Services of the
Ministry of Health)
Website:
https://pem.spms.min-saude.pt/
Description:
The Mobile Medical Electronic Prescription (PEM Mobile) was
launched on February 2019 as a mobile application that allows
the physician to perform medical prescriptions using their
smartphones, in a totally dematerialised way and without
resorting to a computer - the information is made available to
the end-user through an email and/or SMS.
The PEM Mobile is a simple and very useful solution, for
example, in home consultations or when the physician is away
from the patient, allowing the health professional to issue
medical prescriptions in a secure way.
