Describe a piece of local news that people were interested in

Well, people in my country get to know about news in various ways like internet, TV, newspaper or radio. For the last one or two weeks the media headlines have been about 16-storey buildings being constructed in the city of the capital, Nukus city. I came across this piece of news when I was browsing the Internet and one of the local bloggers was talking about this building. In the city centre, there used to be numerous old houses, restaurants and a small park, but the government provided the residents and the enterprises in this area with money and demolished all the concrete jungle and started the construction of 3 so-called skyscrapers last year. And as it was reported in the news that in the construction process the architects from Poland designed the exterior of the building, which is painted in subtle colours and neon lights installed all over the building make it look dazzlingly beautiful at night. What’s interesting, the government spent staggering $1 billion for the construction. However, the reason why this particular piece of news drew attention of the local population is that, it is intended to decrease the unemployment rate in my country as there will be offices of over 50 different small and big companies, which means there will be new vacancies. Moreover, one of these 3 buildings is said to be a residential building and people will be able to take out a bank load and purchase a flat in the heart of the city.
