I'm sure that a rare example of a person with seemingly boundless energy is my grandfather. It seems that his motto is 'Life's too short to be idle'.
Now he is in his late 70s. Being retired, he could sleep late and spend more time in bed, reading books and watching TV, but he's always on the go despite his age He wakes up with the sun and always starts his day with morning exercises outdoors regardless of the weather and season. Then he does different chores like washing and cleaning. He's been doing all the housework himself since my grandmother died, which happened about 20 years ago. Also, he works in the yard, in the orchard, and in his vegetable garden. Yet, he never feels tired. At least, he never says he's tired. It looks like the more he does, the more energized he gets. It's incredible. I'm just 30, but I'm nowhere near as active as him. At the end of the day, I can't wait to come home and collapse on the couch. My grandfather is always up for an evening stroll. I can hardly get by with the help of extra-large coffees. He never relies on caffeine to get him through the day. He believes that the most powerful source of vibrant energy is within you.
When people ask him what it takes to stay fully charged, he always says that there are three keys to energizing his life. First of all, he says his energy levels are directly proportionate to how much refreshed he feels each morning. He doesn't sacrifice sleep for anything, especially TV. And, course, he eats well. Secondly, he tries to surround himself with the right people. He tries to avoid communicating with those who are constantly complaining about everything. He likes to communicate with people who feel passionate about life, knowledge, and work. Finally, he says it's important to do something meaningful. He spreads enthusiasm to everyone around him, and his energy is infectious. I can't help admiring him. And I wish there were more people like him.
