Well, a few days ago I was woken by the guttural meowing sounds, screeching, hissing, yowling and growling. If you have cats, you know that it's something that happens every now and then. So I'm kind of used to it. That's why at first I didn't react. And I was planning to continue sleeping 'cause I thought my cats were just roughhousing.
But then I heard that ear-splitting screeching, and I realised that they crossed the line and playful roughhousing turned into a full-blown fight. I was afraid they would hurt each other. So I jumped out of bed and rushed to the kitchen. I found my cats wrestling and biting each other's necks. The fur was flying. It looked like the play fight did escalate to a real fight. So I had to intervene. I did what I usually do on such occasions. I sprayed them with water. They separated, but a few seconds later they started running around, meowing like crazy, and acting as if they were on a racetrack being chased. So I had no choice, but to direct them into separate rooms so they could calm down.
