Activity 2 Listen and repeat.

Objective: to introduce the new words: blew, fell, said
STEP 1:
Play the DVD several times. Ask the pupils to listen to and repeat the new words.
STEP 2:
Then ask them to look at the cloud on Page 68. Help the pupils understand the meaning of the words by
emotions and gestures. Elicit the answers, put them on the board and check together.
Activity 3 Play “Take a card and say”.

Objectives: to revise the adjectives: tasty, big, small; to give practice in speaking
STEP 1:
Put the flashcards of fruit and vegetables of different size on your table.
STEP 2:
Say:
„Let‟s play a game‟.
Divide the class into 2 groups. Make 2 lines.
STEP 3:
Explain that they must take the flashcards and say a word combination. e.g. If the pupil says
„a watermelon‟
,
the team gets1 point. For
„a big watermelon‟
the team gets 2 points. For
„a big tasty watermelon‟
the team gets 3 points.
STEP 4:
Invite the pupils in turn to take the flashcards.
STEP 5:
Count the scores. Call the winner group.
