Time: 45min.
Objectives: 

Educational: to practise writing and talking about important dates.

Cultural:  to talk about different nations’   birthday traditions and customs.

Practical: to enable pupils to speak and write about their birthdays.

Communicative competences: to listen and sing an English song, to discuss about birthday presents.

Materials: Handouts, pictures, realia, worksheets, presents, birthday cards,  video song (Happy birthday to you).

Pre Activity – Warming up: to sing a song (Happy birthday to you). Time: 3 min.

Activity 1. Copy and complete the Word Spider. Eg. Flowers, cake. Time 7 min

Activity 2. Matching activity: Match the words and pictures
