Dear California Enterprise Zone Administrators and Interested Parties:

The Department of Housing and Community Development Enterprise Zone Program has been notified by the City of Compton, that they have discontinued accepting applications for the Hiring Tax Credit. In order to ensure that eligible area businesses have the opportunity to apply for and receive hiring tax credits they have earned, HCD has assigned a Third-Party Agent to process these requests.
The Kings County Economic Development Corporation has been designated as the sole Agent for the receipt and processing of applications and the issuance of Hiring Tax Credit Voucher Certificates for the former Compton Enterprise Zone, effective September 1, 2014, through December 31, 2014. All applications for hiring tax credit vouchers should be sent to:
