2. Give participants a reason to stay until the end
Sitting for an entire day in front of the screen and watching presentations is hard. To motivate attendees to stay engaged, create interest and anticipation right at the start of the conference and keep refreshing it. Sweepstakes, competitions and quizzes, prizes, and achievement awards can significantly increase average attendance time at the conference.
3. Help attendees interact
Don’t let participants linking in from home feel alone in front of the conference screen. Include a chat window for each breakout room and provide a list of participants who are online in the room at that time, identified by name, title and company. Real-time interaction between multiple participants is a key advantage of virtual conferences over regular conferences.
