Create a blank presentation .

When you create a blank presentation, all slides are created from scratch. To select a slide design, select Format → Slide Design. On the Slide Design panel, select the Design Templates category and choose a sample slide design.

In the Create Presentation task pane, select the New Presentation link . The Slide Layout panel opens .

The new presentation opens in the main window and you can edit the blank title slide.

Saving the presentation .

To save the created presentation, execute the menu command File → Save (Save As) or click the Save button located on the Standard toolbar . The Save Document dialog box appears , working in the same way as working in this window in other applications.

After the file has been saved under its own name, any changes to it can be saved by pressing the < Crtl + S > key combination or by clicking the Save button .

Editing and sorting slides .

PowerPoint lets you edit each slide individually in Slide View , and view all slides at once and sort them in Slide Sorter view . To switch view modes, you can use the View item in the application menu or the button bar located in the lower left corner of the screen.

After selecting the Slide Sorter mode , all slides of the created presentation will appear in the application window. This mode is convenient for editing the sequence of presentation slides. A slide can be selected, copied to clipboard, cut, pasted from clipboard, or deleted. Slides can also be easily swapped by dragging and dropping them to the desired location.

Animation in the process of changing slides .

The Power point allows you to "revive" the presentation of th through animation. You can create animation effects when one slide changes to the next.

To set up the transition from one slide to another, select a slide and enter the command Slide show → change slide to ... On the Slide transition dialog box that appears, using the drop-down lists and checking the boxes, you can specify which animation effect will be used when changing slides, what sounds this will be followed by what will trigger a frame change - mouse click or elapsed time interval, and so on.

For example, in the Effect drop-down list, you can select one of the types of animation effects that will appear during the transition from slide to slide.

In the Sound drop-down list, you can select the sound that will accompany the transition: Applause, Bells, Typewriter, and so on. You can set any other sound by choosing a sound file.

The selected settings can be applied both to one current slide, and immediately to all slides in the presentation.

Animation of slide objects .

Any object on the slide can be made to appear on the screen in an unusual way: appear on the screen, fly out from the side, unfold to a given size, shrink, flash, rotate, and so on. The text can appear in its entirety, by catch, or even by individual letters.

To set the values ​​of the animation parameters for an object, select it, and then select the Animation Settings item in the context menu . The Animation Settings dialog box appears.

The dialog pane in the upper Animation Order window lists the objects on this slide. After choosing one of them, you can start setting up animation effects.

The Effects tab allows using two drop-down lists to set the type of animation process when an object appears on the slide and the sound that will accompany the specified action, and so on.

View modes .

There are several modes for viewing that can be selected from the View menu . The modes presented below are designed for the fastest and most efficient execution of the necessary actions in the process of creating and editing a presentation.

         Regular . By default, this mode is displayed as three panels.

         Slide Sorter . In this mode, all slides are presented as thumbnails.
  

Thus, they are easy to drag and drop, reordering them in the presentation.

• 
         Slide show . This is a special mode that allows you to preview your presentation and present it on the screen. It checks the finished presentation after adding new slides. This mode is also used to adjust the finished presentation.
  

The selection of the view mode can be realized by means of special buttons in the lower left corner of the application window. There is no dedicated button for Notes Page mode.

Drawings .

Pictures are another type of element that can be used in presentations. A picture for a slide can be created using a graphical editor, and then placed on the slide using the command Insert → Picture → From File ...

However, it is easier to use the Picture Gallery that is available in Microsoft Office . Pictures from the collection are added using the command Insert → Picture → Pictures ...

On the appeared Microsoft Clip Gallery dialog box, a collection of Clip Art pictures opens in front of us , in which we can select the desired picture for the slide.

Pictures from the Clip Art collection can be modified. To do this, use the Image Adjustment panel . This panel appears on the screen after selecting any graphic object or is called by the command View → Toolbars → Image settings.
