The idea for PowerPoint came from Bob Gaskins, who decided that the age of graphic interactive materials was coming. In 1984, Bob joined Forethought and hired developer Denis Austin. Bob and Denis created a program and called it PowerPoint . In 1987 he released PowerPoint 1 .0. He worked in black and white. A color version soon appeared.
