A KINDER COLOR APPRENTISSAGE SYSTEM BASED THE EMBEDDED 
COLOR SENSING

Abstract
. This article focuses on the design and development of an effective color sensor-based educational tool. The 
objective is to facilitate children while learning colors. In this context, a solid-state color-sensor is employed with a front-end embedded 
controller. The sensor captures the concerned color card features and transforms them in specific color frequency code. This code is 
later on compared with a predefined template, stored in the frontend controller memory, in order to make the identification. Then, this 
information is passed to the Central Processing Unit (CPU). Later, CPU displays an image randomly from the identified color objects 
library. Moreover, it also pronounces the description of displayed object. It helps children to learn colors names in more effective way. 
The random display and pronunciation of an object keeps the child more interested to know what the next object will be. A system 
prototype is realized, and its functionality is successfully tested. Results are presented.
