On December 7-8, with the joint participation of the Azerbaijan State University of Oil and 
Industry (ASOIU) and the French University of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, the 2nd international 
scientific and practical conference on the topic "Modern information, measuring and control systems: 
problems and prospects" (MIMCS '2020 ”) dedicated to the 100th anniversary of ASOIU. 
The online videoconference was attended by both local scientists, professors, heads of 
universities and various organizations, as well as world famous scientists and professors from about 
20 countries. 
Note that the first conference dedicated to the same topic was organized on July 1-2, 2019 at 
ASOIU with the participation of representatives from a number of countries. The speeches of the 
participants were published in the conference materials in the form of a collection of abstracts and 
articles. 
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the II International Scientific and Practical Conference, 
the rector of ASOIU, professor Mustafa Babanli congratulated everyone on the glorious victory of 
the Azerbaijani army. According to him, this year ASOIU marks 100 years as a university. The 
glorious victory of Azerbaijan made our 100th anniversary even more significant. Then the rector M. 
Babanli spoke about the importance of the conference. He said that organizing such conferences is 
very important from the point of view of expanding scientific activities and developing relations. The 
rector thanked the organizers of the conference and wished success to the participants. 
Speaking at the conference, the rector of the Kharkiv National Economic University of Ukraine, 
Professor Volodymyr Ponomarenko said that they are glad to cooperate with such a university as 
ASOIU. He congratulated the rector, professor Mustafa Babanli, as well as all university staff on the 
100th anniversary of ASOIU, spoke about the importance of the conference. 
Corresponding member of ANAS, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Academician Telman Aliyev 
spoke about the history of development and achievements of ASOIU. He noted that over the past few 
years, ASOIU has achieved great success and scientific achievements. Now we can say that this 
university celebrates its 100th anniversary with its achievements. 
Presentations on various topics such as Innovative technologies in engineering and social 
sciences, Computer networks, Telecommunication technologies, Methods and means of information 
protection, Information security, Cybersecurity, Advanced information technologies in the field of 
measurement and control, Intelligent information systems, Sensors and measuring systems , 
Integrated Management Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Automation and Control were heard and 
discussions were held on decision making.
