DEVELOPMENT OF AN INTELLIGENT CHROMATOGRAPH.

Abstract.
The aim of the presented thesis is to develop a chromatograph intended to solve the widest range of analytical 
problems.

Nowadays, for the identification of substances, among other devices, chromatographs are widely used - both 
liquid and gas. Various multicomponent mixtures (vapor-gas mixtures) are divided by a gas chromatographic (GC) 
column into individual components and, after passing through a detecting device, are graphically recorded on the diagram 
as individual peaks. If the affiliation of the peak is related to a certain component, then the concentration of this component 
can be calculated. If such a correspondence is not observed, then a complex identification work is performed, which 
consists in determining the belonging of the peak to one or another component. The complexity of this procedure lies in 
the need to have a stock of pure (exemplary, reference) substances on hand, and sometimes very large, depending on the 
content of unknown components in the analyzed mixture. 
Today there are specialized companies that, at the request of the customer, manufacture GC columns designed 
to perform narrow-profile tasks. These columns take a long time to obtain and are very expensive. In case of some change 
or, change of the identification task, these columns become unclaimed and the task of ordering new columns arises.

Research laboratories and enterprises of such industries as petrochemical and oil refining, as well as biological, 
food, and perfumery can be interested in using such an intelligent chromatograph (chromato-identifier). This chromato-
identifier can become an essential tool for mobile environmental control installations.
