The act of making others aware of your presence by communication is known as Greetings.
It also means to suggest any type of relationship between you and the other individual, or it is also a way to show attention towards other human beings
Uzbek Greetings
In Uzbekistan to meet and greet a friend or acquaintance is quite an occasion with established procedures for both what you should say and what you should do. Verbally, both individuals begin with a barrage of questions. How are you? How is your health? Is your work going well? How is your family? Are you not tired? Etc. These questions are usually asked by both parties simultaneously and require no answer other than a few words of gratitude for asking.
When men and women greet each other they will rarely shake hands but instead will nod their heads to each other, putting their right hand on the chest in a gesture of peace and respect.
Women greeting women will also shake hands and while doing so will kiss each other two or three times on each cheek. Again, a younger woman greeting an older one will put her right hand on her chest and nod her head before shaking hands
American greetings
Americans are culturally diverse people. People in America are very friendly and sociable. You can greet any random stranger on the street and they will respond with the same enthusiasm unlike in many countries where people never look at another stranger and greet them randomly.
It is not unusual for young Americans to hug you when you greet them
Most people shake hands firmly and briefly when they meet for the first time or in a formal situation.
When people are good friends or family, they will sometimes hug each other to say hello.

Smile. Smiles are basic signals of politeness, a non-verbal way of being friendly.
Handshakes are usually brief. Firm handshakes are appreciated and show confidence rather than light handshakes.
Americans like their personal space and stand about 2 feet apart when talking. Physical touching when in a conversation usually makes Americans uncomfortable.
American greetings are generally quite informal. This is not intended to show a lack of respect, but rather a manifestation of the American belief that everyone is equal.
While being introduced you should stand. Only the elderly, the ill and physically unable persons remain seated while greeting or being introduced.
Greetings in the Uk
A handshake is the most common form of greeting among the English and British people and is customary when you are introduced to somebody new.
The Kiss.
It is only when you meet friends, whom you haven't seen for a long time, that you would kiss the cheek of the opposite sex. In Britain one kiss is generally enough.
Formal greetings.
The usual formal greeting is a 'How do you do?' and a firm handshake, but with a lighter touch between men and women.
‘How do you do?’ is a greeting not a question and the correct response is to repeat ‘How do you do?' You say this when shaking hands with someone.
