SA ALGORITHM

 

RSA Algorithm is a Public  key algorithm invented 

in  1977  by  Ron  Rivest,  Adi  Shamir  and  Leonard 

Adleman  (RSA).  It  supports  encryption  and  Digital 

Signatures.  It  is  the  most  widely  used  public  key 

algorithm  which  gets  its  security  from  integer 

factorization  Problem.  It  is  relatively  easy  to 

understand  and  implement.  RSA  computation  occurs 

with  integers  modulo  n  =  p*q.  It  requires  keys  of  at 

least  1024  bits  for  good  security.  Keys  of  size  2048 

bit  provide  best  security.  Widely  used  for  secure 

communication 

Channel  and  for  authentication  to  identity  service 

provider.    RSA  algorithm  is  used  to  encrypt  the  data 

to provide security so that only the concerned user can 

access it. The diagram below shows how to generate a 

public and a private key.
