al’s parent’s owned a nice cabin on the banks of a small river, and on a 9-hole golf course somewhere south of Charleston, in an extremely rural area. (Low maintenance course. The “greens” were oiled sand.) We spent a week there, probably the summer of 1959. I’ll bet the river was the Coal River. Raymond had cronies in the area, so I think it was likely near where he grew up.
