Childhood obesity is becoming serious problem in many countries.
What are the causes and solution of this?
Over the last few years, there has been a significant rise in the number of obese children in many parts of the globe.
Nowadays, obesity, which can influence on the health of children, is considered to be a key issue in most societies. While consuming unhealthy food and living in hectic lifestyle can be seen as the main causes of this, and the problem can be solved with schools and parents taking equal responsibilities and restricting the time spent by children on playing computer games.
The problem can be addressed by the proper actions of both parents and schools.
The main causes of why obesity is becoming common among children can vary. First reason is the lack of exercise because children are now living inactive lifestyle; this means they fail to try to do regular exercises. This is because they spend healthy part of their time in front of technological devices to play video and chat on the net instead of playing outdoor activities with their peers as in the past. More importantly, consuming junk food and sugary soft drinks, such as hamburgers and chips, can pose this health-related problem. This is mainly because most children prefer eating such kind of foods, including too much sugar and unhealthy ingredients.
There are a number of highly effective methods to tackle this issue. What can deal with such a problem is taking responsibility. Parents and school teachers should take responsibility to control what children eat and also, sales of unhealthy food, leading to obesity should be banned in school canteens, as pupils have a several unhealthy food options in such a place. Additionally, it is parents who can restrict the time children spend to play computer games and urge them to do regular exercise and join in sport clubs. Not only can these solutions reduce the level of obesity in children but also help them to be healthier.
To sum up, not only is sedentary lifestyle main cause of this but also lack of exercise can contribute to lead to childhood obesity to some extent, however, I believe this major problem of many nations can be solved by restricting time which children spend in front of computers, with parents and teachers controlling what their children eat.
