INTRODUCTION


The theme of my course paper sounds as following: «Category of Verb ». Before beginning of investigation in our theme, I would like to say some words dealt with the theme of my course paper.
A grammatical category is a class of units (such as noun and verb) or features case that share a common set of characteristics. They are the building blocks of language, allowing us to communicate with one another. There are no hard and fast rules for what defines these shared traits, however, making it difficult for linguists to agree on precisely what is and is not a grammatical category.

The actuality of the course paper is that the system of the English verb is rightly considered to be the most complex grammatical structure of the language. The most troublesome problems are, indeed, concentrated in the area of the finite verb, and include, in particular, questions tense, aspect and modal auxiliary usage.
This seems to be an aim of our course paper which has always gained the greatest interest in language learning. We can say with little fear of exaggeration that learning a language is to a very large degree learning how to operate the verbal forms of that language.
