construction. Factory-fabricated panels are available. It is essential
that the panel surface temperature be kept higher than the dew point
temperature of the air to prevent condensation. This limits panel ap-
plications to sensible cooling. Some other method must be used for
latent cooling and dehumidification. Usually a secondary chilled water
(CHW) loop (Fig. 9.27) is required to provide water at the higher tem-
perature needed to avoid surface condensation.
