The single-duct VAV system provides only cooling, so supplemen-
tal heating is required in perimeter zones. This may be provided by
perimeter radiation, fan-coil units, or reheat coils in the supply duct.
Heating is controlled in sequence, so that it is used only when the air
supply is at its minimum.
