Package holiday [Noun] (a vacation arranged by a travel company for a fixed price, with arrangements for transportation, accommodations, and sometimes meals and entertainment).
We went on a cheap package holiday to Majorca. We're going on a package holiday to Hong Kong.
Hitchhike [Verb] (to travel by asking someone to take you in their vehicle).
The man hitchhiked to get home after his car broke down.
Sometimes he hitchhiked to a car, and sometimes he hitchhiked to a truck.
Set off [Verb] (to start a journey; to start to go somewhere).
After making sure she was sound asleep, he crept out of the room and set off. I'm just about to set off for the station.
Campsite [Noun] (a place where people on holiday use for camping).
The campsite is in a beautiful location next to the beach. The campsite is close to all local amenities.
Adjacent [Adverb] (next to or close to something else).
He couldn't sleep because of the noise coming from the adjacent apartment. The criminal had been living in the adjacent house all this time.
Homey [Adjective] ((of a place) pleasantly comfortable and cozy).
We stayed at a homey bed and breakfast inn. The room was homey and comfortable.
The restaurant has a relaxed, homey atmosphere.
Cafeteria [Noun] (an informal restaurant in which you take the food to the table yourself and pay before eating).
Students make lasting friendships in the cafeteria at school.
My friends and I ate in the cafeteria for lunch because they were serving pizza.
Maid [Noun] (a woman whose job is to who clean rooms in a hotel or in someone's home).
Her maid helped her to clean the floor. The maid made a delicious dish yesterday.
Guesthouse [Noun] (a private house offering accommodations that people can pay to spend the night).
Last night, we stayed in a guesthouse.
My father bought an old guesthouse in the village where we lived.
