UNITED ARAB EMIRATES

UAE’s economy in the short-term was impacted in the following ways:

  The rise in imports and exports costs

  The slowdown of indirect foreign investment 
  
• 
  The decrease in economic activities in America affected the export market in the UAE.
  

In the long-term the UAE have 

• 
  Potential increase in investment from both countries.
  
• 
  UAE may also get benefitted from a re-direction of foreign investment from both economies.
  

UNITED KINGDON

• 
  The economy of the UK experienced vulnerability attached to Brexit, and delicate worldwide development would doubt put further weight on the United Kingdom. 
  
• 
  As a little open economy, the United Kingdom is fundamentally more dependent on multilateralism and an open world economy than huge economies.
  
• 
  Trying to gain access in china market to gain capital.

   Study the responses of the governments of the respective countries towards capitalizing from trade war and mitigation of risks. (100 words)
   

UNITED ARAB EMIRATES

  UAE’s government decided not to take a side in the trade war between the US and China because they have historical relations with the US related to oil, arms sales, energy purchases, etc. UAE cannot harm their relations with china either because of the silk route.
  

UNITED KINGDON

• 
  UK’s government showed no clear response and was confused to take any side clearly. They were confused because the American president was threatening to start a trade war with Europe also. UK’s government was trying to calm both countries because they were facing risks like uncertainty tied to Brexit, weakening of WTO. The UK is a small open economy is dependent on multilateralism.

   Put your recommendation to improve the economies of both countries. (100 words)
   

I would like to make the below-mentioned recommendations for the improvement of both economies:

• 
  UAE should stick to its phenomena of no taking any country’s side to get benefitted from both strong economies. UAE should mold their policies according to their benefits associate with China and the US.
  
• 
  The UK should take one clear stance either of taking the side of any country or staying neutral. Due to opportunities associated with a trade war.
