The aim of the research work is to determine the features of the artistic and 
psychological interpretation of the motif of loneliness in English and Uzbek 
literature, as well as the role of literary influence on it. 
The tasks of the research work: 
to form an artistic-psychological description and classification of the concept 
of 
«
loneliness
» 
which is one of the psychological states of man in fiction; 
to highlight the poetic motivation of the factors influencing the state of 
human loneliness; 
to substantiate the importance of psychological analysis of the artistic 
interpretation of the state of loneliness in the context of world literature and to 
determine its principles; 
to reveal motives based on the interpretation of the tragedy of loneliness in 
Anglo-American novels and short stories; 
to prove the socio-spiritual, religious, ceremonial factors that affect image of 
a lonely person and loneliness motif which are the basis of human experiences 
reflected in Uzbek prose; 
to express an attitude to the content and compositional integrity of the works 
in which the word 
«
loneliness
»
comes to the level of the title in the English and 
Uzbek literature.
