An effective auxiliary method of treating bronchial asthma is breathing exercises, which facilitate the course of the disease and prevent the development of possible complications.
Positive results are achieved only when classes are carried out purposefully and constantly. Exercises are done in a well-ventilated area, and in the warm season - in the fresh air.
The use of breathing exercises for a disease such as bronchial asthma helps to cleanse the mucous membrane of the respiratory tract, as well as the pharyngeal tonsils, from microbes. In addition, there is an effective drainage of the bronchi. As a result, the muscles of the bronchi become stronger, stronger, more resilient. Returns to normal and blood circulation.
When starting breathing exercises, you need to remember some features of performing techniques.
You should breathe through your mouth, because with active breathing through the nose, there is a risk of the contents of the nasopharynx entering the bronchi, which provokes a new round of the development of the disease.
If the condition is complicated by the accumulation of sputum in the bronchi, the exercises are performed in the inhalation-exhalation interval in order to prevent a coughing fit, to avoid bronchospasm .
The first set of breathing exercises helps prevent asthma attacks, relieves tension and stress associated with an attack.
1. The first exercise is best done in the morning, immediately after waking up. Lying on your back, pull the legs bent at the knees as close to the chest as possible, while exhaling for a long time through the mouth. Repeat this movement should be the appearance of a feeling of fatigue. When performing this exercise, sputum leaves, the airways are freed, and breathing becomes easier.
2. Breathe alternately through the right and left nostrils. Closing the left nostril with your fingers, inhale, closing the right nostril, exhale. Then vice versa.
