The central laboratory, consisting of 3 small laboratories: the Laboratory of Molecular Biology, the Laboratory of Chemistry Analysis and the Laboratory of Teaching, covers a total area of 1,175㎡. The Laboratory was authorized by the National Institute of Metrology of China as one of the national centers for toxicological assessment and functional tests. In 2001, it was approved by the National Quality and Technical Supervision Organization to perform the tests on new products of food supplements. Now the Laboratory plays an important role in supporting and facilitating the works of teaching and research
Each laboratory is now equipped with various instruments to fulfill the teaching tasks and to conduct research projects. Moreover, an SFP-grade animal facility with an area of 280㎡is under reconstruction and will be put into service in 2007, which will greatly improve the experimental environment.
