A regular meeting of the Board of Education will be held this day in the Bound Brook High School Theatre. The order of business and agenda for the meeting are:

II. OPEN PUBLIC MEETING STATEMENT
The New Jersey Open Public Meetings Law was enacted to insure the right of the public to have advance notice of and to attend the meetings of public bodies at which time any business affecting their interests is discussed and acted upon. In accordance with the provisions of this act and Board of Education Policy 0162, the Board of Education of the Borough of Bound Brook has caused notice of this meeting to be posted in the Board Office and at Bound Brook High School, and mailed or faxed to the Courier News, Bound Brook Borough Clerk, South Bound Brook Board of Education, and any person who has requested individual notice and paid the required fee.

Motion by Ms. DeFazio, seconded by Ms. Hasting to adjourn to Executive Session at 6:59 p.m. to discuss #4, 5, 6, and 7.

2/23/15-22 Approve Investment of Funds in the New Jersey Asset & Rebate Management Program
RESOLVED, the Board of Education of the Borough of Bound Brook, of Somerset County, New Jersey is authorized to invest funds in the New Jersey Asset & Rebate Management Program.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Education of the Borough of Bound Brook as follows:
1. The Bound Brook Board of Education hereby finds and determines that (a) it has received and reviewed (i) the Information Statement dated as of January 3, 2005 describing the New Jersey Asset & Rebate Management Program ("NJ/ARM") and (ii) the Amended and Restated Interlocal Services Investment Agreement governing the NJ/ARM Program (“Program Agreement”) and (b) the Bound Brook Board of Education has been afforded the opportunity to discuss NJ/ARM with the Investment Administrator and Special Counsel to NJ/ARM and the Bound Brook Board of Education has determined that it is in the best interests of the District to authorize the Bound Brook Board of Education to participate in NJ/ARM.
2. The Program Agreement is hereby approved and the Business Administrator/Board Secretary is authorized to execute the Program Agreement on behalf of the Bound Brook Board of Education
3. US Bank National Association, as Custodian for the NJ/ARM Program, is hereby approved to act as a depository of Public Funds for the Bound Brook Board of Education.
4. The Bound Brook Board of Education acknowledges that its decision to authorize the participation in NJ/ARM is based solely on the information set forth in the Information Statement and in the Program Agreement.
5. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
2/23/15-23 Approve Agreement between Lighton Industries, Inc. and the Bound Brook Board of Education for Demolition Project to be completed at the Community School
RESOLVED, the Bound Brook Board of Education approves the attached agreement between Lighton Industries, Inc. and the Bound Brook Board of Education to complete a Demolition Project at The Community School located at 120 East Second Street, Bound Brook as per the specifications as written by DRG Architects. The cost as per the contract will be $250,000.00. The award of this contract is in accordance with the MRESC State Approved Cooperative BID #65MCESCCPS.
2/23/15-24 2015-2016 Agreement for Participation in Coordinated Transportation with Warren County Special Services School District (WCSSSD)
WHEREAS, the Bound Brook School District Board of Education desires to transport students for the purpose of special education, non-public school education, or their own public school students to specific destinations; and
WHEREAS, the Warren County Special Services School District hereinafter referred to as WCSSSD offers coordinated transportation services; and
WHEREAS, the WCSSSD will organize and schedule routes to achieve the maximum cost effectiveness;
NOW THEREFORE, it is agreed that in consideration of pro-rated contract costs, plus a 4% administration fee as presented to the Bound Brook School District Board of Education as calculated by the billing formula adopted by the WCSSSD’s Board of Education and according to the schedule noted in the agreement.
RESOLVED, the Bound Brook Board of Education approves the Agreement with Warren County Special Services School District (WCSSSD) for the 2015-2016 school year (July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016).

I. EDUCATION RESOLUTIONS – ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOLS
2/23/15-39 Approval Dental Lessons
RESOLVED, the Bound Brook Board of Education approves Dr. Louis Scibilli of Brook Dental Associates, Bound Brook, to visit the first grade classes for individual classroom dental health lessons on February 10, 2015. February is National Children’s Dental Health month.
Motion by Ms. DeFazio, seconded by Mr. Boehm to approve Resolutions #3-39. Adopted by roll call vote. Mr. Hoben abstained on #10 (Dr. Gallagher) and Mr. DelVecchio abstained on #27.
XII. OTHER MATTERS TO COME BEFORE THE BOARD – After Care Program – Registrations will go through Ann Marie Woolford; will be posted tomorrow; any questions/issues either e-mail or call Ms. Woolford. Any board members who want an iPad, go upstairs and sign for one.
XIII. NEW BUSINESS – Question on PARCC testing – where do we stand? Can’t opt out – no requests to. There has been much discussion on PARCC; state law requires we do it.
XIV. OPEN TO THE PUBLIC FOR DISCUSSION – Blood Drive in April.
