The textbook for 8nd graders is very well structured. All of them are very convenient, useful and not tiring, interesting topics. In the process of teaching them these topics, our mood also rises and the lesson goes well when we wait. They are mainly given light, harder topics and tasks. Because they are still tenager they must learn very quickly because they will graduate this year and I think their next book may be much harder than this year. We tried to give them quality and interesting education as much as possible.
The most interesting topics for them are: How many planets in our univers ? which one do we live in? Where are the places, Movies, In town, What equipment do we need? and activities. We used the students themselves to explain the topic of activities. Then it was easier to explain to the students. After they did some exercises from the Book, we played some very interesting games with them. Students learned useful vocabulary related to the topic. For example: camping, sleeping, eating, jumping, running, swimming and riding.
We also learned interesting things about movies. We had a free conversation with the students on this topic, we found out what kind of cartoons and movies they like and what they are most interested in. Every student has a different personality. It was a good experience for us. In this topic, after completing the exercises, we told the students to draw a picture of their favorite cartoon character as homework.
On the farm theme. Since two hours were allocated for this topic, the students learned a lot of things and words about this topic. First, we taught about Univers, and second the biggest planet Jupiter, we taught about names of planets where we live. Students did a lot of exercises on this topic and learned new words.
Therefore, each topic is easy to learn. Very effective for their listening and speaking skills. It quickly grows and develops the thinking ability of young children. I don't think the students had any difficulty in mastering these topics.
