DEVELOPMENT OF DIGITAL CUSTOMS IS A KEY FACTOR IN THE 
GROWTH OF FOREIGN TRADE AND INVESTMENT ATTRACTIVENESS 
OF THE COUNTRY

The globalization of the world economy has contributed to the creation of a 
modern economic community where each national economic system is closely linked 
to others. Problems in the economy of a country can lead to disastrous consequences 
in the economy of other states and in the economic as a whole.
At the same time, as world practice shows, the innovative model of economic 
development, the formation of favorable conditions for effective integration of any 
country into the world economy, changes in the scale, characters and forms of foreign 
economic activity are inextricably linked with the rational use of customs policy 
instruments. Customs policy, in turn, is an integral part of the internal and foreign 
policy of the state, the main component of the institute of customs administration. 
Therefore, based on the above-mentioned priority directions for expanding foreign 
economic relations, it becomes urgent to develop and improve customs administration, 
first of all, taking into account the emergence of new threats and challenges that require 
entering a new, qualitatively different stage of development of customs administration. 
The administration of customs policy in its activities is located between two 
aspects: first, the need for clear control in order to ensure the safety of society; and 
second, and the promotion of business development through the maximum 
simplification of customs formalities. The main attention is focused on the 
development and improvement of customs administration as a key link in the formation 
of the structure of foreign trade. As the research tasks outlined promising areas of 
customs procedures simplification and acceleration of customs operations at the 
customs clearance and customs control of the goods.
