Do you think there is too much violence in today’s films?

Yes and no．There is a lot of violence especially in action and martial arts movies, but
I think that our government has managed to limit the amount of cruelty on TV We see blood of
course, but I think that it’s not too problematic. It has become part of our society. Chinese movies
are not so aggressive I think, although I have seen some crazy films from Hong Kong. Some
young people are attracted to such movies because it’s different, and not real. The fact that it is
fictitious（＝not real) is fascinating, because it is imaginative. I don’t think that we should air too
much brutality on TV, but I also disagree when some people say that the violence on TV is to be
blamed for some people’s violent actions．
