What does it mean to be intelligent? That's a tough question to answer. Well, there are
different kinds of intelligence, I suppose. First, there is the academic intelligence that is based on
general knowledge, and how well you remember things．I think we can assess this intelligence

through an IQ test. In addition, some people are very independent and resourceful, and this is
another kind of cleverness ． This other kind of intelligence is what we call EQ. It's based on
emotions, and how you resolve problems. Some people can have a very high IQ, but be very naive
at the same time. As a result, they might not do as well in certain jobs and probably shouldn't
become managers, doctors or teachers.
