Method of nodal potentials

The method of nodal potentials, as well as the method of loop currents, makes it possible to reduce the order of the system for calculating electrical circuits. This method consists in finding the potentials of all nodes of the circuit and then using the known potentials of the currents in all branches. The method of nodal potentials is based on the first Kirchhoff's law and Ohm's law for an inhomogeneous circuit.
