Task 1. Materials Evaluation Form. Evaluate the book given to you according to the following criteria. (Evaluate The book Kids’ English 2)

A. General Appearance (font size, additional materials, cover)

The book Kids English based on the educational standart and on the front size height and width are larger then other books in terms of volume.The name of book written with big letter and picture in front of the book colourfull,very interesting for young learners.

B. Layout and Design (layout, attractive, illustrations, clear structured)

The book is enriched with pictures that can engage children,thinking based on each picture,playing fun games will help them learn more deeply by thinking the lesson to language.Illustrations are designed for children in accordance with their age and language competence,word structure are easy to learn in terms of meaning.

C. Activities (sufficient / communicative tasks, meaningful language, balance between input and output)

The paragaraphs are very suitable for young language learners.They allow the student to perform tasks in different subjects at the some time.The exercises in the book allow children to get acquainted with animals,organize numbers,distinguish letters,study nature,compose stories,think in terms of time units and so on teaches to perform communicative tasks.

D. Language Skills (integrated skills,)

According to the content of this book,it is designed to teach English to young learners and explain its content,to create different texts for children in English,to work with pictures,to solve puzzles,to learn word structure is a textbook to teach childrens to do homework and working in language independently.

E. Language Content (authentic, non-authentic)

Language content is Authentic.Because real life materials connected with teaching language from this book.Young learners learn book in classroom with vital cross sections.For example the topic about time,subjects,stories,games,others and all words in this activities learner use in real life situations or communication.

F. Topic Content (relevant and realistic, active learning, develops independent thinking skills, culturally appropriate)

Its also convenient for the student to study the topics himself.Grade 2nd students are given colourfull pictures, exercises in capital letters,games on the topic so that they can think independently and actively learn.The subjects gradually become more difficult.

G. Teachability and Flexibility (is it suitable for mixed ability classes)

For mixed ability classes,this book makes it slightly easier.Because they have already learned the letters and numbers.But it will be more difficult for them than 22 pages because they have difficulty composing sentences.

H. Assessment (what skills assessed, formative, summative tests)

Children aged 5-8 can only read,write and grammar right.They learn new words but find it difficult to form of sentences.Therefore guide to test adaptation,visual search tests and various tests were given to work as a group.

Task 2. Read the scenarios and identify what learning style is being used in the scenario and how you could adapt it to better support the needs of all styles of learners. Write your suggested scenario.

The teacher divides pupils into groups to prepare for class presentations. After collecting information, each group gives an oral report on its assigned subject.

This schenario about the learning style with the name visual.This style involves working with pictures, videos, illustrations and artwork that include,where students learn both lessons that are considered,heard and that develop independent thinking skills.

In this schenario the teacher has the opportunity to both introduce and evaluate the topic to the children at the some time and teach them what they do not know about their conversations.In the process each group member exchanges ideas and discuss it with the rest of the group,which helps them new knowledge by sharing information with each other.This process helps to draw attention of the lowest learner in the class and assess it.In this type of the lesson he enter the lesson motivated by his peers.

If I were to write my own script,I would give students the freedom to choose a topic that is they would prepare lesson on a topic of their choise and advise them to participate in the lesson in other ways.Than just presentation I helped with the preparation.Because young learners need to be tought to create more new ideas and create conditions.

Task 3. Read the situation below and give ways to adapt it into your teaching auditory. Write about the problem that teacher has with material.
