Minor Mosque

• The striking new Minor Mosque, also known as the white mosque for the colour of its marble, is proof that Uzbekistan still knows how to create sublime Islamic architecture. The lovely circular prayer hall has a beautifully ornate mihrab (a niche indicating the direction of Mecca) and ceiling. Walk south back to Minor metro through the nearby Minor Cemetery or the pleasant canal-side path.
• Minor Mosque has certainly become one of the newly constructed Tashkent mosques and sights based in new region of the capital, situated near to the Centre of UzExpo and International Hotel. Mosque has been opened for visitors since 1st of October 2014, a day before a festival called “Eid” starts. It has been a very popular location for people living there especially when speaking about evening walking and resting. Minor Mosque has been constructed on a shore of Ankhor water tunnel, allowing visitors to view beautiful landscapes in the surrounding. Though this sightseeing is new enough, it’s worth visiting. If you have an opportunity to go to Tashkent, it’s undoubtedly a must for you to visit the Minor mosque with marbled luxury. Here are presented some photos of these wonderful sights.
